Gill PITTMAN Ceramics
C O N T A C T
From my earliest years I painted, following a tradition in my family going back several generations.
Later I spent a year at the Slade School of Fine Art in London doing life drawing, before going to medical school. I also went to ceramics classes in London and spent some time at the Chelsea pottery.
When I moved to Gower, South Wales, in 1971, I went to classes at Swansea University given by the sculptor Gillian Still, and then set up my own studio.
I was able to spend some time on ceramics as well as working as a GP until the family came along. I then had a 28 year break from ceramics and took it up again when I retired from General Practice in 2007.
I'm a member of South Wales Potters.
